Eco-Friendly Shampoo Bars

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Spring & Vine. All opinions are 100% mine.

Hi guys!! I am so happy to tell you about this new brand of shampoo bars (yes…bars!). As you know from my first post of 2020, this year I’ve made it a goal to share more brands that are not only vegan and cruelty-free, but more sustainably-focused and eco-friendly too. So today I’m excited to share one of those brands with you that checks all the boxes for me: Spring and Vine!

Spring & Vine is a new brand of eco-friendly shampoo bars sold exclusively at Target. And I am originally a Minnesota girl – so Target, which originated in Minnesota and is headquartered there, runs in my blood (haha)! It makes me soooo happy to see them supporting and selling a clean and cruelty-free beauty brand like Spring & Vine.

Here are all the great details about the brand:

Vegan & Cruelty-Free: They are PETA-certified vegan and cruelty-free. There’s no animal testing and no animal products.

Clean: The shampoo bars are made with natural ingredients like shea butter and essential oils. They skip all the bad-for-us ingredients like synthetic fragrances, dyes, sulfates, parabens, etc. The bars come in four scents and formulas: grapefruit & rosemary volumizing shampoo, oatmeal moisturizing shampoo, tea tree & mint scalp soothing shampoo and lavender and orange blossom balanced clean shampoo.

Eco-Friendly: Spring & Vine shampoo bars are made with 95% less plastic and 90% less water versus liquid shampoo. Instead of a plastic bottle, they come in a little cardboard box that you can recycle after opening. And even the package it was shipped in was made of 100% recycled plastic.

Travel Friendly: Because they’re not liquid based they’re TSA-friendly and easier to travel with. You can throw them right in your carry-on bag – no 3oz rule with shampoo bars since they’re solid.

And if you’re still a little hesitant about it being in bar form, it took me a minute to wrap my mind around a shampoo bar too, but it really is just like the liquid shampoo we’re used to – we’re just adding the liquid (aka water) part in the shower instead of before it’s packaged.

The bars smell really nice in a subtle way (nothing overpowering) and they’re so easy to use. Just wet your hair, rub the shampoo bar in your hands to get it all nice and sudsy, massage the lather into your hair, and rinse. Easy as that. 🙂

Love that brands like Spring & Vine exist. Thank you to them for sponsoring this post and making clean and cruelty-free beautiful more accessible to everyone. Let me know if you try the bars and when you see them at your local Target! Or shop the bars on the Target site here.

Xo,

Tedi
