Clear the Shelters!

NBC New York

Last week my foster kitten Earl was on the set of NBC New York to promote Clear the Shelters, a great initiative to help get more animals adopted this summer. This time of the year shelters are absolutely inundated with animals in need of safe, loving homes. So, as an incentive to encourage more people to choose adoption for their next furry friend, this Saturday, August 15th, for one day only, shelters around the country have teamed up with NBCUniversal to waive their adoption fees and place these animals in loving homes.

Whether you want a pure bred, a mutt, a pitbull, a puppy, a senior, a kitten, a cat, or any other animals, shelters have them all. (Yes, shelters have pure bred dogs all the time!) As a shelter volunteer myself I can tell you there are so many amazing animals sitting in cages everyday waiting for someone to adopt them. So, if you’ve been thinking about adding a furry friend to your family, this Saturday may be the day for you! You can click the map below to check for participating shelters in your area. And if you have any questions about adoption, you are more than welcome to email me at tedisarahblog@gmail.com.

Clear the Shelters

Come out this Saturday or spread the word to help us clear the shelters!

Tedi

P.S. Sweet little Earl, who you may notice fell sound asleep in the news segment, has been adopted!
