The Evolution of TediSarah.com

TediGuys, I cannot believe it! This month marks the two-year anniversary of tedisarah.com! If you’ve been following along since the beginning, then you know that my blog has evolved a great deal since its inception. So, with two years down and 210 blog posts behind us, I figured there’s no better time than now to sit down and redefine what exactly tedisarah.com is all about.

I originally started this blog back in 2014 to share the eye-opening information I had learned about health and nutrition. Earlier that year, a chance encounter at Whole Foods with Rip Esselstyn, author of My Beef With Meat and The Engine 2 Diet, would lead me on a journey that would completely transform my views on what’s healthy and what’s not, and completely transform my diet.

After that chance encounter, I did everything I could to learn more and more about health, nutrition and the food industry. In addition to Rip’s books, I read every other book on plant-based nutrition, from The China Study to Whole to Skinny Bitch, I watched all the documentaries like Forks Over Knives and Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead, and went on to earn my certificate in plant-based nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies at Cornell University. And it was at that point, equipped with all this new knowledge and understanding, that I launched this blog to share the amazing health benefits of eating a plant-based diet.

Over time, the more immersed I became in plant-based (aka vegan) eating, the more I realized that the benefits are so much more widespread than just for our health. Plant-based eating so greatly benefits animals and the planet too. From there I became interested in all the different ways to incorporate less animal products into my life. In addition to plant-based eating, I became interested in cruelty-free beauty and animal-free fashion. During that time I also moved to New York City, and was introduced to the amazing plant-based/vegan food scene that NYC has to offer.

And so, tedisarah.com morphed into what it is today – a vegan lifestyle blog. It’s a compilation of all the things in my life that I find wonderful, happy, healthy or delicious, and want to share with all of you. You can know when you visit tedisarah.com, whether you’re seeing food, fashion, favorite restaurants or anything else, I’ve put it here to share with you because in some way shape or form, it benefits humans, animals or the planet. And I hope those intentions will always come through.

Thank you so much for following me on this journey!

xo,

Tedi

What an amazing journey. I have learned so much. May not follow the diet completely but I definitely lean and eat more vegetables and plant based foods than I would have before following you. Thank you.
