Want to Change Your Life? Watch This!

Remember back in March I posted about the book that changed my life? Well the documentary Forks Over Knives is life changing as well. This documentary investigates the very scary truths behind the food industry and the lies they feed us (no pun intended 😉 ). And after exposing all the misinformation we have been taught regarding nutrition, the film offers insight into how positively and profoundly a plant-based diet can affect our health. The film introduces viewers to patients, whose serious ill-health was cured as the result of adopting a plant-based lifestyle, and to the very doctors who healed these patients with plant-based nutrition. The impact of this film could be so far-reaching and I truly believe the information in it can change all of our lives for the better!

Here’s a quote from Forks Over Knives that resonates with me so deeply.

Some people think the “plant-based, whole foods diet” is extreme. Half a million people a year will have their chests opened up and a vein taken from their leg and sewn onto their coronary artery…Some people would call that extreme. Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn

I cannot recommend this documentary enough! It is available on Netflix.

And while we’re on the topic of documentaries, here is the trailer for a new documentary, Food Choices, that is currently in production. I get chills just watching the trailer! I’m sure this will be another life changing film for so many people.

Here are two quotes I love from the Food Choices trailer:

The cause of most of our diseases, and the cure [for them], is within anybody’s reach who gets the knowledge. Dr. John McDougall

There’s no money in doing the right thing. There’s money in selling blood pressure pills, powerful arthritis drugs, laxatives, antacids…that’s where the money is. The truth is, the solution is free and within your reach. Dr. John McDougall

Added bonus…the lovely Jessica from One Part Plant is in it! That’s her alluding to how a plant-based diet saved her from a serious medical condition. (Read more about her story here). Food Choices is expected to release sometime in 2015. Can’t wait to see it!

What are your favorite health and wellness related documentaries??
