What do you get when you mix a Paris trained pastry chef, who has worked in some of New York’s hottest kitchens, with an entrepreneurial spirit? You get Mini Melanie, a Michelin-recommended boutique bakery located right here in New York City. Mini Melanie, which launched in fall 2014, makes the most delicious cakes and gorgeous jewel-inspired truffles. And guess what? Mini Melanie is now offering vegan versions of their signature treats, which I got to try, and they are out of this world!
The vegan truffles are filled with the most delicious dense cake filling. When I tell you that these truffles and cakes melt-in-your-mouth, I am not kidding. They’re that good. And their beautiful jewel-like design and eye-popping colors make them even that much more unique.
I would love to use Mini Melanie’s truffles next time I host a special event. They would make such a great party favor after a birthday, shower or wedding. Your guests will be so pleasantly surprised by how beautiful and tasty they are. Not to mention the fact that their cakes would make the most amazing wedding cake.
