On the Menu this Week

Sept 20, 2015I tried some incredible new dishes this week that I am excited to tell you guys about! I’ve got a salad that’s out of this world, one of the best veggie burgers of all time and some budget friendly delicious plant-based foods for when you’re on the go and looking for some healthy cheap eats. Try any of these out and you will not be disappointed!

By ChloeI’m determined to try everything on the By Chloe menu because everything I have tried already has been fantastic. I finally tasted the quinoa taco salad and it was absolutely out of this world. Can’t recommend it enough! It comes with spicy plant-based chorizo, black beans, sweet corn, avocado, tomato, tortilla strips, dairy-free crema and an agave-lime vinaigrette. Can’t wait to have this again!

Body & SoulIf you follow me on instragram then you know I shared this quick, healthy, delicious and cheap lunch idea. Each day there are farmers markets all around NYC and at many of them Body & Soul Bakery serves up delicious lunch pockets like this curried vegetable and chickpea one that I get all the time. The lunch pockets are healthy, filling, vegan, so tasty and only $6!! You can check the Grow NYC website to see if there are markets serving Body & Soul Bakery near your home or office!

Body & SoulOh yeah, and in addition to those lunch pockets Body & Soul also sells these double chocolate, chocolate chunk vegan muffins. 🙂 🙂 🙂

Chickpea & OliveThis plant-based bacon cheddar ranch burger from Chickpea & Olive is phenomenal. It comes with a homemade beet patty, hickory smoked eggplant bacon, heirloom tomatoes, green leaf lettuce and a housemade fresh herb ranch sauce. So, so, so good! You can find them at Lunchtime Under the Archway in DUMBO, Brooklyn every Wednesday-Friday and at Smorgasburg on the weekends.

PancakesAnd finally I have been on the hunt to find the best dairy-free pancake mix. I made these yesterday and they were really good. I used Pamela’s gluten-free, dairy-free pancake and waffle mix, Bob’s Red Mill egg replacer, coconut oil and water. Do you have a favorite dairy-free pancake mix?? If so let me know in the comments section below!
