Big Apple, Big News!

NYCI am very excited to announce that I am officially NYC’s newest resident!! You may have noticed I’ve been a little slow on my posts this month and that’s because I was busy preparing for my big move and then getting settled into my new city!

Freedom TowerNYC

One of the reasons I am so excited to be here is because I will have the opportunity to share with you all my new discoveries related to plant-based eating, kind living and overall health & wellness! It’s only been one week and I’ve already had some great finds that I’m eager to share with you all. First, if you’ve read my posts on Plant-Based Eating LA Style or Plant-Based Eating NYC Style then you know I looooove Le Pain Quotidien (even though I can never remember how to pronounce the name 😉 ). Much to my delight I discovered there is a LPQ right down the street from my building. I’ve obviously already made it there for lunch! Here’s what I had:

AvocadoAvocado & Omega-3 Tartine | Le Pain Quotidien

Arnie PalmerArnie Palmer | Le Pain Quotidien

Chia Seed PuddingChia Seed Pudding | Le Pain Quotidien

Besides Le Pain here are some other discoveries I’m loving in my new city:

Scallion tofu cream cheese

Tofu cream cheese @ Pick A Bagel. Comes in plain, scallion or veggie. Best dairy-free cream cheese I’ve ever tasted!

Horchata

Brooklyn made Organic Gemini Tigernut Horchata that I found at Whole Foods Market in Tribeca. So delish!!

Emmy's

Emmy’s Coconut Vanilla Macaroons…I’ve never been that crazy about macaroons but these have converted me. I’m obsessed! Can’t wait to have more of them. Also from Whole Foods Market in Tribeca.

Wild Ginger

I had this delicious dish called the Basil Soy Protein at Wild Ginger Pan Asian Vegan Cafe while out for my friend Ali’s birthday. It was so good that I ordered it for takeout a few days later. Located at Broome St. & Mulberry St. in NoLita/Chinatown.

I so look forward to sharing many more ideas for plant-strong eating, kind living and overall health and wellness…NYC style!! Thanks for stopping in. Happy Sunday!

Thank you so much Sheri!! Wonderful that you have family out here. The buns make their NYC debut in a couple weeks! I am going to drive them out here once the apt is all settled. I already found a farmers market by my apt so they will truly be enjoying some wonderful NYC style greens! 🙂 🙂 🙂
